This page describes, in plain terms, what Acedeck collects, why we use it, and the choices you have over it. Effective date: 1 January 2026.
Information we collect
Account details — the email, username and profile information you provide when you register or update your profile.
Study activity — practice attempts, results, flashcards, progress scores, streak and achievement data you generate while using the service.
Device and usage data — basic technical information such as device type and in-app behaviour, used to keep the service stable and improve it.
Contact data — information you share when you message us or join community spaces.
How we use your information
To operate and personalise Acedeck — showing your courses, progress, recommendations (include Prophet signals) and community features.
To improve the experience — analytics, debugging and product decisions are based on aggregate patterns wherever possible.
To communicate — service updates, reminders you enabled and replies to messages you send us.
Communities and marketplace — when you post or list items, relevant information is visible to other students as you intend.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We do not use your study data for advertising profiling.
We do not require access to contacts, messages or unrelated data to provide the core service.
Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport in transit and strong authentication practices.
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
You may request deletion of your account and its data at any time by contacting us.
Your choices
You can edit or remove profile details, manage notification preferences, and delete content you have created within the app.
You can ask us to export, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you by writing to us.
You may disable in-app notifications at any time; core service features remain available.
Children
Acedeck is designed for university students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced within the product, and the effective date below will be updated.
Continuing to use Acedeck after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
